River to Coast Children's Service's has been awarded a grant from the Sonoma County Vintners Foundation supporting our Emergency Resources Program for West Sonoma County children and their families. These funds will keep our food pantry resources available for families along the river and coast.

River to Coast Children’s Services would like to thank Kaiser Permanente Northern California for the 2022-23 Community Benefit Grant supporting our Kindergym Program.
Because of the generous donation from Kaiser Permanente, River to Coast Children’s Services kindergyms will continue to be an important west Sonoma County resource for children ages 0 to 6 years and their parents/guardians. Families accessed our food bank/emergency resources, signed up for holiday gift programs, health and safety programs, and received referrals for other needs through kindergym. It is great place for parents to network and get vital support.
Kaiser Permanente's continued support of our Agency helps us to fulfill our mission to serve children and families in west Sonoma County, strengthening families’ emotional and physical well-being in our community.
Community Foundation Sonoma County has been a multiyear supporter of many of RCCS' resource and literacy programs. Again this CFSC has awarded us a Julia L. Basic Human Needs Grant to help underwrite our Emergency Resources Program.
RCCS operates a food pantry for West County families with children in the home, that is open Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM. We can also provide diapers and wipes and first aid supplies on a walk in basis, all free. Formula, some over-the-counter medications and personal hygiene products can be purchased and made available for pick up at our office just by calling 707-869-3613 and letting us know what is needed.
All of these resources are made available through this grant from CFSC.

RCCS was overwhelmed and delighted to receive a substantial grant from the Steven and Alexandra Foundation to underwrite our Emergency Resources Program. This grant will allow RCCS to purchase fresh vegetables, fruits, dairy, and proteins to feed local families with children in the home and who are in need. Thank you! First 5 Sonoma County has awarded RCCS a $25,000 Resiliency Grant to provide financial and basic human needs resources to families in west Somoma County.
MAC District 5, Sonoma County Board of Supervisors has awarded RCCS a Tourist Impact Grant in the amount of $20,000 to assist families who have been impacted by loss of income due to fires, flood and pandemic. This project is funded, in part, by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors.
Community Foundation Sonoma County has awarded a Resiliency Grant in the amount of $15,000 to underwrite our Emergency Resources Basic Human Needs Program to provide west Sonoma County families with food, diapers, PPE, transportation and short term shelter assistance.

During the period July 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018, 270 children and 203 adults participated in kindergym sessions in Guerneville and Forestville. Families accessed our food bank/emergency resources, signed up for holiday gift programs, health and safety programs, and received referrals for other needs through kindergym. It is great place for parents to network and get vital support.
